Shane Harper, of Disney’s “Good Luck Charlie,” and soon to be seen in the upcoming Rob Reiner film, “Flipped,” explained how the loss of his cousin to suicide affected his life. “It took us all by surprise,” he said. “I feel like we need to be more open with what’s going on in our life and not be scared to tell family and friends what we’re going through.” Most importantly, Shane says, “I want kids to know that there are people out there who want to talk to them, that people genuinely care. They need to know that they can express their feelings and what they’re going through, and that they’re not going to be judged.”
